Killeen Rodeo Star Auditions

WIN $500 and be crowned 2010 Rodeo Killeen Star!

BE PREPARED TO SING A COUNTRY WESTERN KARAOKE SELECTION (coming soon)

This year The Rodeo Killeen Committee and Toyota of Killeen are sponsoring a Rodeo Killeen Star competition. Auditions for the competition will be at Toyota of Killeen on Saturday, May 22nd from 10 am until 4 pm. The competition will take place on stage in front of the dealership. Tony’s Karaoke will be the vendor who provides the Karaoke. The four judges for the auditions will be: Eric Shephard, Artistic Director for VLA, James Harrison, Marketing Consultant and KTEM Radio Personality, John Lohse, Business Manager for Toyota of Killeen and lead singer for Steering South and the 2009 Rodeo Killeen Queen.

Three finalists will be selected on May 22nd. They will then compete for the title of 2010 Rodeo Killeen Star on the final night of Rodeo Killeen, Saturday, 29 during the Rodeo Killeen Pre-Show at 7:30 PM. That night each of the finalists will perform their Country Western Karaoke number and the winner will be selected by audience applause. The Rodeo Bullfighters will serve as the “applause judges” and call the winner.

2010 Rodeo Killeen Star win a $500 cash prize and both the Winner and First and Second Runner’s up are invited to perform during the pre-show opening night of Vive Les Arts Summer Musical Production.

The Karaoke List will be at the receptionist’s desk at Toyota of Killeen for anyone interested in looking through the list for a song selection.
